On Friday, August 23, within the framework of the International and Interregional Socio-Cultural Program “BRICS People Choosing Life”, a meeting of business circles of the Altai Territory and India was held online. 11 Altai and 8 Indian companies took part in the business mission .

The organizers were the Ministry of Economic Development of the Altai Territory, the Department of the Administration of the Governor and the Government of the Altai Territory for External Relations and Protocol with the assistance of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India, International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (IYESF), “Smart Mir Services LLC” and the Regional Public Organization “BRICS. World of Traditions”.

The event participants were addressed with welcoming speeches by the Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in India Evgeny Griva , Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Altai Territory, Head of the Department of Innovative Development and Cluster Policy Sergey Korennov, President of the Regional Public Organization “BRICS. World of Traditions”, Head of the International Socio-Cultural Program “BRICS Peoples Choose Life” Lyudmila Sekacheva .

“For the Altai Territory, India is a promising trade and economic partner. Over the past period of the current year, the volume of mutual trade between the regions of India and the Altai Territory has increased by 1.2 times. We cooperate with Indian companies in the field of mutual supplies of food products, chemical products, equipment and other goods. We are ready to offer our Indian partners environmentally friendly food products, agricultural products, agricultural machinery and equipment, boiler and electrical equipment, chemical products, including rubber products and composite materials,” noted Sergey Korennov.

During the negotiations, the companies presented their products, discussed with partners the possibilities of organizing cooperation, and exchanged contacts.
