On June 28, as part of the business track of the Tver stage of the BRICS People Choosing Life program, B2B negotiations were held via videoconferencing between Tver and Indian companies. Six Indian companies interested in developing cooperation with the Tver region and eight regional companies took part in the negotiations.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the First Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in India, Evgeniy Griva. “Currently, our economy is turning to the east, and India is one of the key vectors. We believe that now is the key moment for companies to enter the Russian and Indian markets,” said Evgeny Griva.
During the meeting, the Tver side demonstrated the export potential of the region, and contacts on export-import operations were worked out. The parties are interested in business cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in such areas as mechanical engineering, food industry, timber industry and others.
The event was organized by the Regional Public Organization “BRICS. World of Traditions” with the assistance of the Trade Mission of Russia in India, the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (IYESF), the Ministry of Economic Development of the Tver Region and the Ministry of Industry of the Tver Region.
