“BRICS+ CTF” is an innovative international project to improve the skills of young IT specialists, the goal of which is to promote Russia as a country offering advanced technologies in the field of information security and ready to cooperate with progressive representatives of the world’s majority countries. The mission of the competition is to unite the peoples of the BRICS+ countries through the interaction of students, teachers, young scientists and university representatives.

“Capture the Flag” (or CTF for short) is a cybersecurity competition (the most accurate analogy is ACM ICPC in the field of computer security). Teams are given a range of tasks related to cryptography, reverse engineering, web vulnerabilities, network security, and digital forensics – topics that computer security engineers typically work with. Competition in the CTF format is one of the most popular competition formats, aimed at developing professional, psychological qualities and teamwork skills for all participants.

Format:

The first round will take place online in the CTF Jeopardy format. The best teams based on the results of the first round will be able to compete in the finals, held online in the Attack-Defense format:

– Qualifiers (online) – October 5-6, duration 24 hours;

– Final (mixed format) – November 16, duration 8 hours.
