Ecothon “Green Code of Moscow” is an international competition for teams of professionals in the field of ecology and information technology, a platform for developing green urbanism and solving environmental problems in BRICS megacities.
Who can participate in the Ecothon?

Specialists aged 16 to 40 in the fields of IT, design, analytics, data science, project management, ecology, and sustainable natural resource management, who are ready to work on innovative digital tools in the context of current technological challenges, can participate in the Ecothon.

Students of higher education institutions and vocational schools who are interested in professional development and realizing their potential in an interdisciplinary approach to solving environmental problems can also become participants.
How to participate in the Ecothon?

Go to the Ecothon website and click “Sign up”.

Log in to your personal account and fill in all the required fields in the form.

Confirm your registration on the Ecothon website by clicking the link in the email that will be automatically sent to the email address you provided during registration.

Form your own team from friends and colleagues or choose an available team to join.

Select the case you will work on during the Ecothon.

Confirm your participation in the Ecothon by clicking the “Confirm Participation” button.

If you plan to work at the offline site, click the “Sign up for the offline site” button in your personal account.
The Ecothon’s mechanics:

The Ecothon takes place over two days (September 18 and 19) in a hybrid format: participants can join online from anywhere in the world or in-person at the venue in Moscow.

During the Ecothon, there will be two mandatory 20-minute checkpoints where teams meet with the tracker and experts in a pre-arranged Discord room to present their current progress.

In the final stage of the Ecothon, solutions will be defended and results/prototypes presented via videoconferencing service, where the jury will ask clarifying questions and assign scores.
Important: Participants need to install and test Discord desktop versions in advance.
Prize fund:
Ecothon winning teams are awarded with diplomas in electronic form and cash prizes:

the 1st place — 330,000 rubles.

the 2nd place — 220,000 rubles.

the 3rd place — 125,000 rubles.
The team’s cash reward is distributed proportionally among the team members.
The total prize fund of the Ecothon is 2.7 million rubles.
