The World Parliamentarian Congress 2024 is a landmark gathering scheduled to take place from November 24 to 27, 2024, in the vibrant city of Cape Town, South Africa. This event aims to bring together a diverse and dynamic group of attendees including parliamentarians, elected officials, congressmen and congresswomen, youth observers, NGO representatives, civil society leaders, human rights activists, student ambassadors, lawyers, and young activists. The Congress is poised to serve as a global platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action on pressing issues affecting our world today.

Headway Institute of Strategic Alliance – HISA is a public policy research institute that has hosted more than 10 international events, and given hundreds of scholarships to young people.

Theme and Objectives:

The overarching theme of the World Parliamentarian Congress 2024 is “Building Inclusive Democracies for Sustainable Development”. This theme underscores the importance of fostering inclusive governance systems that prioritize sustainable development goals (SDGs) and human rights. The Congress seeks to achieve the following key objectives-

• Promote Inclusive Governance: Highlighting the importance of diverse representation in democratic institutions to ensure that all voices, especially those of marginalized communities are heard and considered in policy-making processes.

• Strengthen International Collaboration: Facilitating networking and collaboration among parliamentarians and other stakeholders to address global challenges such as climate change, economic inequality, and social justice.

• Advance Human Rights: Reinforcing commitments to human rights and exploring innovative solutions to protect and promote the rights of all individuals.

• Youth Engagement: Empower young leaders and activists by providing them with a platform to share their perspectives and contribute to global policy discussions.

• Sustainable Development: Promoting the integration of the SDGs into national and international legislative frameworks to ensure sustainable and equitable development.

• 50 Fully Funded Seats (Airtickets, Accommodation, Meals, Forum Access Included)

• 100 Free Congress Access Pass [Partial Funded] (Forum Access, Meals, Cocktails, Networking Sessions, Diplomatic Dinner Included)

Fully Funded:

Register your interest and submit your application to be considered as a Fully Funded Delegate at the WPC 2024, including Airfare, shared accommodation, an exclusive invitation letter, meals during the congress hours, congress merchandise, and graduation certificates. Please note that your application will be screened and evaluated by a pool of expert evaluators and the final results of the selected winners will be announced via email and social media on October 20th, 2024.
