The BRICS Youth Summit is a key event on the youth agenda of Russia’s BRICS presidency in 2024. The summit is being held in Ulyanovsk from 22 – 26 July.
Akil Mohammad, Founder and Chairman of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation is in attendance at the ongoing BRICS Youth Summit.
At the end of the first day, dedicated to the acquaintance of young leaders, the Summit participants were presented with the BRICS Youth Media Platform, a space for youth cooperation between the BRICS countries.
The BRICS Youth Media Platform was jointly developed by the Russia-BRICS International Youth Cooperation Project Office, the Center for the Protection of Children’s Rights and Interests of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, and Smart Mir Services LLC. National and International non-profitable organisations as well as major media associations have already partnered up with the platform.
According to the authors of the project, the content of the new media platform will be formed by the BRICS youth for the BRICS youth, responding to their needs, interests and aspirations. The target audience of the site will be high school students, students, young scientists and entrepreneurs, and the heart will be a forum where registered users will have the opportunity to conduct an open dialogue on topics that concern young people in the BRICS countries.
The second day of the youth summit comprised a BRICS Youth Council meeting, and panel sessions on BRICS Youth awareness and Entrepreneurship.
