As Part of the BRICS Program, a Trade Fair was Held in Tver

On June 28, as part of the Russian stage of the international and interregional socio-cultural program “BRICS People Choosing Life,” the grand opening of the trade fair of Indian goods “In Memory of Afanasy Nikitin” was held in the City Garden in Tver.

In honour of the opening of the fair, a concert was held, which was opened with an Indian folk dance performed by the show ballet “Amrapali” from the Khimvolokno Cultural Centre. Creative groups and soloists from the Khimvolokno Cultural Center, the Zatveretsky Cultural Center, and the Metalist Cultural Center performed Russian folk songs and Soviet hits. The folk amateur vocal ensemble “Vesna”, the choreographic studio “Allegro”, the dance ensembles “Fly, Pigeons!”, “Veresen” and others demonstrated their talents.

The fair “In Memory of Afanasy Nikitin” presented clothing, tea, souvenirs, cosmetics, fragrances, spices, and jewellery from India. The trading platform was deployed in the City Garden until June 30. Every day, concert programs were held for its guests with the participation of creative groups and soloists of Tver cultural institutions.

The events of the Russian stage of the international and interregional socio-cultural program “BRICS People Choosing Life” began in the Tver Region with a humanitarian block on June 24-25.
